Antonin Baudry is a writer, director, and former diplomat.
The Wolf’s Call (Le Chant du Loup, 2019) is Baudry’s feature-length directorial debut and has opened to great critical acclaim in France. It was recently acquired by Netflix for US distribution.
Baudry most recently held positions as Ambassador for French Culture and President of the Institut Français, and was previously French Cultural Counselor in New York (2010-2015). While in New York, Baudry founded the renowned Albertine bookstore.
Under the pen name of Abel Lanzac, he received the prize for best album at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2013 for the graphic novel series “Quai d’Orsay.” Baudry’s film adaptation of “Quai d’Orsay” won the special jury prize for best screenplay at several festivals.
Baudry is an alumnus of both the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Ulm) and the Ecole Polytechnique.
