THE FICTION LAB
THE FICTION LAB is a loose network of neuroscientists interested in CFXs (cognitive effects), specially designed pieces of information that, when delivered to a human brain as a story, generate predictable reactions that can be targeted for attention span enhancement, for mental identification to situations and characters, for maintaining audience excitement level at S point, for deep emotions generation, for high recall memories, for immersive fiction and for behavioral change edification.
Emotion is crucial to the content industry. Contemporary research teaches us that emotion is also central to human intelligence and decision making. Our vision is to translate this understanding of decision making into new techniques to answer incessant questions addressed to content producers: Will the audience be captivated? Interested? Moved? Edified?
The project is coordinated by Pr. P. Georges, a brain surgeon specializing in cognitive sciences applied to marketing and publishing, with HEC Marketing, reference books in cognitive marketing in the US.
