VIRTUAL PRODUCTION SUSTAINABLE STORYTELLING
Case study: Rebel Nature IP
With real-time technology increasingly underpinning not just games but now VR and film, there is greater creative flexibility and interoperability between media making it easier and significantly more effective to tell stories across different platforms.
Rebel Nature is a story universe set in the near future, inspired by the 17 UN Global Goals, and created by concept director Christian Faber. To bring it to life Christian Faber has co-founded Rig21, a virtual production company, with producer Thomas Lydholm. The two are joined by an interdisciplinary team of accomplished creative and technical forces including Daniel Rocha Larsen, Adam Alaleh and VR Sculptor Martin Nebelong.
In this session the team will share their early attempts at producing visual prototypes for the Rebel Nature IP using state of the art virtual production tools including real-time game engines from Unity, motion capture, LED screens, camera-tracking and truly mind-blowing set pieces built live in VR!
